A few weeks ago I went to a rodeo for only the second time and I took my camera with me. It was a bit of a challenge shooting due to the poor light. Even with my 70-200 wide open at f2.8, I was only able to get shutter speeds around 1/60 - 1/125. I didn't think of bumping my ISO which I probably should have.
In the end, I took I got some decent shots, although almost all of them show motion blue in the legs of the various animals.
